Corten Steel Plate, also known as weathering steel plate, is a high strength steel that offers excellent corrosion resistance to the elements. This material is designed to develop a rust-like surface patina if left unfinished, eliminating the need to paint the material and protecting the material from further corrosion. Corten steel is often used in unpainted applications such as building exteriors, outdoor sculptures, sign poles and highway structures because of its lower maintenance cost and long-life durability.
